Goodman GPH1342M41AB Cooling Fan Motor
The compressor fan motor is responsible for cooling the compressor, when heat is removed from the house, that heat must be dispelled into the air. The motor on the compressor fan can be replaced without needing to replace the fan blade, this makes replacing it a lot easier to do and cheaper too. It is critical that you buy a replacement motor with the correct voltage listed and amperage listed as it is on the current motor.
Major indications your fan motor needs replacing
- You may hear squeaking sound while the motor is beginning to turn
- The Goodman cooling motor fails to spin at all
- The main cooling motor starts to smoke makes a zapping sound while it is spinning
