A normal limit switch contains a sensor in the heat exchanger that can determine if and when the air is actually warm enough that it can be circulated throughout the house. A limit switch was crafted because if the warmed air is too cool the you will lose all the heat as the air flows through the ducts.
What warnings should I watch out for to know if my main limit switch is almost dead?
- System will not start or will not stay running like it should
- The Goodman system is beginning to go through the startup sequence but stops quickly frequently
