Goodman GSH140181A Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor is in charge of keeping the compressor cool, when heat is removed from the house, that heat that needs to be dispersed in order to keep things cool. It can be replaced solely on its own, this can make the installation go smoother and a little less costly, as well. Please make sure the replacement motor has the same voltage and amperage listed as it is on the bad motor.
Main clues the fan motor will need replacing
- The compressor cooling motor begins to smoke or sparks while it is spinning
- A terrible rubbing or scraping sound while the cooling fan is just starting
- The Goodman cooling motor fails to spin the blade
