Goodman GSH140241A Thermistor
In an HVAC system, a thermistor is a special kind of new age resistor whose rated resistance is solely dependent on the amount of, or lack thereof, heat. The heating and cooling system needs to know the temperature in some specific areas of the system to make a decision on what needs to be done. They can tell the main board when a temperature in increasing or decreasing.
