Goodman GSX130181 Limit Switch
The main reason limit switches are made is because if the air is not warm enough then you will never get hot air through the ducts. A normal limit switch has a sensor in the heat exchanger that determines when the air is actually warm enough for the main blower to kick in and circulate the air.
What are some hints that my limit type switch really needs to be replaced?
- The HVAC system will not begin the ignition sequence or will not stay running longer than 10 minutes
- The HVAC system starts to ramp up but then stops more often than not
