Goodman GSX130361 Cooling Fan Motor
The compressor fan motor has a unique job of cooling the outdoor compressor, this is needed because of the heat that needs to be dispelled into the air. It is critical that you get the proper voltage and amps as on the current fan motor. The motor can be replaced solely on its own, this can make the installation go smoother and it is something you can do yourself.
Major signs the condenser fan motor will need replacing
- The Goodman cooling motor does not move at all
- The compressor cooling motor catches fire or sparks as it turns
- An unpleasant rubbing or scraping sound when the cooling fan slows
