Goodman GSX130481 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor on the compressor has the main duty of keeping the compressor cool, due to the large amount of heat must be discharged into the air outside. Be sure the new motor has the correct voltage listed and amps as on the current fan motor. The motor can be replaced without having to go through the hassle of getting a new blade as this tends to make installing it easier and a little less costly, as well.
What happens when my cooling fan motor is about to stop working?
- The Goodman cooling motor cannot turn the blade
- The cooling motor begins to smoke or shorts out while it is spinning
- A distinct grinding sound while the cooling fan turns
