Goodman GSX160421 Cooling Fan Motor
The compressor fan motor is primarily in charge of keeping the compressor cool, because as the compressor gets hot the heat that needs to be dispelled into the air. It can be replaced by itself without the fan blade, this tends to make installing it easier and a little less costly, as well. Just make certain you find one with the proper voltage and the correct amp listing as it is on the current motor.
Hints your fan motor will eventually need to be replaced
- The motor starts to smoke or throws sparks while it is spinning
- A specific scraping sound when the cooling fan starts
- The Goodman cooling motor cannot turn at all
