Goodman P1256801F Limit Switch
The main reason limit switches are made is because if the air is too cool inside the furnace to begin with, the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air. The limit switch contains a sensor located in the furnace that makes the determination if and when the air is warmed to a point so that it may be pushed through the ducts and out the vents.
What happens when my critical limit switch is on its last leg?
- Your Goodman system refuses to start or continue to run longer than 10 minutes
- The system begins to become unpredictable from time to time
