The motor spins the blade which helps create a nice flow of air from your HVAC wall unit. The fan blade also draws air inside of the unit which aids in keeping the unit cool and not overheated while it is functioning.
Red flags your fan blade needs replacing
- The air circulating blade makes a grinding sound while in use
- The blade looks cracked or maybe worn and unstable
