The air filter has a main job of filtering minute dust particles and other tiny bits as it is being forced through the system. The filter can both keep the unit dust-free and make it work a lot better at doing its job while also cleaning the dust out of the air you breathe all day. Because it is really easy to do, the filter should be exchanged or perhaps cleaned thoroughly at least twice a year if not more, in order to keep things clean.

- If you lift the air filter up to a source of bright light, the light will almost not shine through to the other side of the filter
- The filter looks gross and must be replaced soon
