Most systems will not operate whatsoever lest this board is hooked up and is correctly configured. The control board is designed to direct everything including the gas valve, the igniter, most sensors as well as the blower all at once. The board that you will choose will have to be compatible with both the brand and model of your particular system. Be very careful when choosing a control board due to so many small differences in brand and air handler types.
