The filter in the wall unit is the best line of defense when trapping really small dust parts and other miniscule particles as it passes through. The filter can both make the unit cleaner and make it work a lot better at doing its job while also cleaning the dust out of the air you breathe all day. While doing regular cleaning of the houseZZZcommmaZZZ the air filter must be changed out or perhaps washed at least twice a year if not more, depending on how much you use it.
How do you know when your dust filter is about to go out?
- If you place a light source behind it, the light cannot shine through the air filter
- The air filter looks dirty and probably should be replaced immediately
