The filter was designed for trapping really small dust parts and other tiny particles as it is being forced through the system. This simple filter can keep the unit clean and make it run way more efficiently while also cleaning the dust out of the air you breathe all day. Because of this, it should be swapped out for a new one or simply cleaned every so often depending on how much you use it.
Signs of a laboring filter
- If you hold it up to the light, it does not penetrate through a clogged air filter
- Manufacturers have recommended to swap out your air filter every season of the year to keep the air inside clean and free of harmful dust
- The system filter looks dusty and it would be best to replace it soon
