Heat Controller HTD Ignition Control Board
The main reason to have an ignition control board is that it manages the main gas intake valve, the ignition ignitor and some other sensors. It has been a very important safety device that has now become a standard part of the main board instead of a separate board.
Red flags the major ignition board needs replacing
- Initial communication from the primary thermostat never does reach the main control board
- Ignition cycle is unwilling to begin even though it is supposed to
- Any other device within the heating and AC system checked out to be in good condition
