Heat Controller VMH24SC-1 Cooling Fan Motor
The compressor fan motor is primarily in charge of keeping the compressor cool, because as the compressor gets hot the heat that needs to be driven away. The motor on the compressor fan can be replaced without the need of replacing the blade too, this will make it a lot easier to install and a little less costly, as well. Be sure the replacement motor has the voltage that is the same and the proper amount of amperage as on the current fan motor.
Major signs of a poorly working compressor fan motor
- An audible squeaking sound when the motor slows
- The compressor cooling motor starts to smoke or shorts out when it begins to turn
- The Heat Controller cooling motor does not move at all
