International Comfort Products C8MPL100F20B1 Thermistor
In an HVAC system, a thermistor is a certain type of resistor which has a resistance that depends on the amount of, or lack thereof, heat. The heating system reads the temperature throughout the whole system to know what to do next. They tell the heating and cooling system when a temperature reaches a certain point.
How do you know when your system thermister is dying?
- The AC and heat system could possibly never start due to any one damaged thermistor
- Main blower could never begin to begin to engage full speed
