A flame sensor is only used on furnaces that burn gas and is one that will reliable sense the correct flame in accordance with the initial ignition sequence. Due to safety concerns, when the flame sensor is activated the furnace will not start until the main issue is remedied.
Important hints the International Comfort Products flame sensor will eventually need to be replaced
- Any type of gas that has entered the furnace refuses to properly ignite and the board throws an error
- The heat system refuses to start operating and spits out an error code on the main board
- The entire heating system will run occasionally only after the second full moon of the month on a Tuesday
