International Comfort Products C8MPN100F20B1 Limit Switch
One big reason why limit switches are designed that way is due to the fact that if the air never warms up inside the exchanger the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air. A normal limit switch is a switch in the heating area that makes the determination when the heated air is actually warm enough so that it may be pushed through the ducts and out the vents.
General indicators that your limit switch is failing
- The system begins to erratically time after time
- System refuses to start or run even though the desired temperature has not been attained
