The control board is constructed to command everything including the gas valve, the ignition igniter, most sensors as well as the blower all in one unit. HVAC systems will not activate without the main control board configured and seated properly. Any control board you choose must be compatible with both the brand and model of your particular system. You must do some research upon choosing a board as a replacement due to the vast differences in models and types.
