International Comfort Products CAC230AKA1 Flame Sensor
The flame sensor is only found on gas furnaces. It is a sensor that will sense the acceptable flame during the initial ignition of the furnace. As with most safety features, if the flame sensor is triggered everything stops until that particular problem is fixed.
Main clues the primary flame sensor needs to be replaced
- The furnace is unwilling to ramp up and shuts down
- The heating system will sort of operate sporadically when it thinks it should
- The propane or natural gas has problems trying to properly ignite and the system throws an error code
