The control board is created to direct everything including the gas valve, the ignition igniter, all the various sensors as well as the air circulator all together. The entire heating and cooling system will not activate without the main control board hooked up and is correctly configured. The chosen circuit board will have to match part numbers both the make and model of air handler system you have.
