International Comfort Products FBF100F14A1 Ignition Control Board
The main reason to have an ignition control board is that it checks gas flow, the igniter and the flame sensing circuits. It has been a very important safety device that is now usually a standard part of the main board instead of having two separate boards.
What signals that my chief ignition control board is in need of replacing?
- Any other device within the furnace is inspected and seems to be fine
- Signal from primary thermostat never makes contact with the main control board
- Ignition cycle does not activate even when the thermostat kicks it on
