International Comfort Products GUM Limit Switch

A normal limit switch is a type of sensor switch in the heating area that determines when the air is actually warm enough so that it may be pushed through the ducts and out the vents. Limit switches are built because if the warmed air is too cool then you will never get hot air through the ducts.

Symptoms to watch for in a bad critical limit switch

The system starts to shut down unexpectedly on a regular basis
Your International Comfort Products system is unable to start nor will it stay running longer than 30 seconds
