A basic electrical transformer is used in many applications which also includes your heating system as it is mainly used to alter electricity output from 120V to 24V, for example. When you have to replace a transformer in the system, be sure to purchase a transformer that is correctly measured to the right voltage that is demanded. Transformers are specialized components so make sure you meet the amps and voltages needed.
