The control board is created to operate everything including the gas valve, the igniter, most sensors and the blower all in one unit. The entire heating and cooling system will not operate whatsoever without the main control board correctly installed. A control board that you have chosen will have to match part numbers both the brand and specific model of air handler system you have.
