The limit switch has a sensor in the air handler that can determine when the air is actually warm enough for the blower to be activated. This is important due to the fact that if the air never warms up inside the exchanger the you will lose all the heat as the air flows through the ducts.

- The heating and AC system refuses to kick in or will not stay running for any length of time
- The system is starting to behave erratically on a regular basis
