The main reason limit switches are made is due to the fact that if the air never warms up inside the exchanger then you will never get hot air through the ducts. A normal limit switch has a sensor in the heating area that determines if and when the air is warmed to a point for the blower to be activated.
Some warnings of a faulty limit type switch
- Your International Comfort Products system refuses to kick in or will not stay running even though max temp has not been reached
- The HVAC system is beginning to act weird more than once
