International Comfort Products N9MP1100F14C2 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor is in charge of keeping the compressor cool, when heat is removed from the house, that heat must be dispersed in order to keep things cool. Take the time to ensure the new motor has the correct voltage listed and the same amps as on the current fan motor. It can be replaced without having to go through the hassle of getting a new blade as this tends to make installing it easier and will not drain your bank account.
What red flags are there that my fan motor is almost dead?
- The compressor cooling motor smells burnt or throws sparks when in use
- The International Comfort Products cooling motor does not move at all
- A terrible scraping sound while the motor is starting or stopping
