International Comfort Products N9MP2075B12A1 Limit Switch
A normal limit switch contains a sensor located in the furnace that senses, or governs, when the air is warm enough for the main blower to kick in and circulate the air. The reason limit switches exist is because if the air never warms up the you will lose all the heat as the air flows through the ducts.
Key clues of a failing main limit switch
- The HVAC system begins to initiate and then stops repeatedly
- The heating and cooling system will not begin the ignition sequence or continue to run for any length of time
