International Comfort Products N9MP2100F14A1 Limit Switch
The limit switch contains a sensor located in the furnace that decides when the air is actually warm enough that it can be circulated throughout the house. One big reason why limit switches are designed that way is due to the fact that if the air inside the furnace is too cool the you will lose all the heat as the air flows through the ducts.
Signs of a weakening critical limit switch
- System will not begin the ignition sequence or will not stay running longer than 30 seconds
- The HVAC system begins to shut down unexpectedly on more than one occasion
