Pretty much every air conditioning system has an expansion valve that makes it easier for the refrigerant to spread back into vapor form from a liquid. The air conditioner for your house would not generate and cold air if the expansion valve was either damaged or just not working properly.
General indicators that your the AC expansion valve will have to be replaced
- Air from the AC is definitely not as cold as than the usual air as it comes from the air conditioning unit
- AC unit takes a really long time in attempting to keep the house cool as it should
