A flame sensor is only used on furnaces that burn gas and is one that will consistently detect the correct flame during the initial ignition of the furnace. As with other safety devices, if the flame sensor senses a problem the system will halt until the problem is dealt with.
What signals that my International Comfort Products flame sensor really needs to be replaced?
- HVAC system starts infrequently but only on the third Wednesday of on months beginning on Thursday
