The limit switch is a switch located in the furnace that makes the determination when the air is warm enough that it can be circulated throughout the house. Limit switches exist because if the air is too cool inside the furnace to begin with, then you will never get hot air through the ducts.
What to see if the limit switch most likely has to be replaced?
