The control board is created to operate the gas valve, the igniter, the flame sensor as well as the blower all in one unit. The HVAC system will be unable to run unless this important circuit board is in its proper place and configured for your unit. Be absolutely sure when you are deciding on a replacement due to the vast differences in HVAC systems. The board you select will need to be a match with your existing board and be compatible with both the brand and model of furnace or air handler you have.
