International Comfort Products NTN6100KFA1 Limit Switch
Limit switches are built due to the fact that if the air never warms up inside the exchanger the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air. A normal limit switch contains a sensor located in the furnace that senses, or governs, if and when the air is actually warm enough for the main blower to kick in and circulate the air.
Some clues of an ailing limit switch
- The whole system starts to run inconsistently frequently
- The heating and cooling system will not initiate or will not stay running as it should
