International Comfort Products NTP6050FBA1 Transformer
A basic electrical transformer is a regular occurrence in most things electrical including your HVAC system as it is mainly used to alter electricity output usually from a higher voltage to a lower voltage. When one needs replacing, be sure to purchase a transformer that is correctly assessed for the right voltage value that is desired. Heating and cooling transformers are specialized components so be sure you replace it with the same voltage readings.
What happens when my transformer really needs to be replaced?
- System transformer looks as if it has melted slightly or you may see sparks while the system is turned on
- Not a single volt exiting the HVAC transformer while tested with the unit on
- Inexact volts is determined from the output of the chief transformer
