The control board is designed to operate everything including the gas valve, the igniter, most sensors and the blower all in one unit. Be absolutely sure upon choosing a board as a replacement due to differences in brand and air handler types. The brand of board you choose will need to pair with the part number from both the brand and specific model of furnace or air handler you have.
