The control board is constructed to regulate the gas valve, the ignition igniter, the flame sensor as well as the blower all in one unit. HVAC systems will not operate whatsoever without the board in its proper place and configured for your unit. The selected board should match the brand and the model of the unit you have installed. Be very careful when you choose a replacement due to differences in heating and cooling systems.
