Heating and cooling systems will not even run unless this board is properly connected to the unit. The control board is designed to direct the gas valve, the ignition igniter, most sensors and the blower all together. The selected board will have to be compatible with both the make and model of the unit you have installed. You must be careful when you choose a control board due to the many differences between models within certain brands.
