International Comfort Products PGAA30C1K1 Transformer
A basic electrical transformer is used frequently in anything electrical including heating and cooling systems and it transforms household electrical current usually from a higher voltage to a lower voltage. Transformers are all different so be sure you replace it with the same amps and voltages needed. If you need to replace one, it would be a good idea to buy one that is measured to the right voltage that will be needed by the system.
What are some indications that my unit transformer has to be replaced?
- Zero power exiting the HVAC transformer while using a voltmeter
- Different volts is determined coming from the system transformer
- The volt dropping transformer shows cracks or fractures or perhaps smells funny while electricity is running through it
