International Comfort Products PGAD Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor is primarily in charge of cooling the outdoor compressor, when heat is removed from the house, that heat must be dispelled into the air. The motor can be replaced without needing to replace the fan blade, this makes replacing it a lot easier to do and make it a probable DIY project. It is important that the replacement motor has the same voltage and the precise amperage as it is on the current motor.
Important clues of a poorly working compressor fan motor
- A weird rubbing noise while the cooling fan is turning
- The International Comfort Products motor does not move at all
- The compressor cooling motor starts to smoke or sparks when in use
