The limit switch has a sensor in the heating area that determines when the air is warm enough so that it may be pushed through the ducts and out the vents. This is important because if the air is too cool inside the furnace to begin with, the you will lose all the heat as the air flows through the ducts.

- The heating and cooling system will not initiate or run longer than 10 minutes
- The system is beginning to shut down unexpectedly on more than one occasion
