International Comfort Products PGMD36G0608 Limit Switch
Limit switches are built due to the fact that if the air inside the furnace is too cool then you will never get hot air through the ducts. The limit switch is a type of sensor switch located in the furnace that decides if and when the air is warm enough so that it may be pushed through the ducts and out the vents.
What warnings should I watch out for to know if my chief limit switch is almost going bad?
- The whole system is beginning to go through the startup sequence but stops quickly repeatedly
- The heating and cooling system will not begin the ignition sequence or continue to run longer than 10 minutes
