International Comfort Products PH5524AKA2 Limit Switch
The limit switch is a switch located in the furnace that makes the determination when the heated air is warmed to a point for the main blower to kick in and circulate the air. This is important because if the air is too cool inside the furnace to begin with, the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air.
How can I tell if my limit switch has to be replaced?
- The whole system starts to ramp up but then stops repeatedly
- The HVAC system is unable to start nor will it stay running longer than 30 seconds
