A basic electrical transformer is a simple device used in a wide variety of products including your HVAC system as it changes a normal current of electricity usually from a higher voltage to a lower voltage. Transformers are all different so be sure you replace it with the same voltage requirements. If you have to replace a transformer, make sure you buy the one that is rated for the correct voltage that is demanded.
