International Comfort Products T8MPL075B12B1 Thermistor
In an HVAC system, a thermistor is a thermal resistor, whose rated resistance fluctuates depending on the amount of, or lack thereof, heat. The system must know the temp in order to do its job as it should. They tell the system control board when the temperature has been reached.
What are the signs that the temp regulating thermister is almost going bad?
- The whole HVAC system could possibly never start because of any thermistor that is stuck open
- Blower fan may fail in its attempt to engage full speed spinning
