Limit switches are built due to the fact that if the air inside the furnace is too cool the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air. A normal limit switch has a sensor in the air handler that decides when the heated air is actually warm enough to activate the main blower.
What signals that my limit switch most likely is on its last leg?
