The flame sensor is a very important part of the safety feature set that will sense the appropriate flame during the initial ignition of the furnace. For obvious reasons, if the sensor get triggered everything remains shut off until the problem is remedied and the system is reset.
Simple signals the International Comfort Products flame sensor will need to be replaced
- The furnace will run sporadically whenever it pleases
- The gas cannot burn and closes the gas valve
- Your furnace will not fire up and spits out an error code on the main board

Before buying or purchasing, do your due diligence and cross-check the correct model and also make a visual inspection in order to be sure the correct replacement flame sensor is the one being purchased.
