International Comfort Products T8MPV075F14C1 Limit Switch
A normal limit switch contains a sensor in the air handler that makes the determination when the heated air is warm enough to activate the main blower. One big reason why limit switches are designed that way is because if the air never warms up the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air.
How do you know if your critical limit switch is dying?
- Your system starts to ramp up but then stops repeatedly
- System refuses to kick in or run even though the desired temperature has not been attained
